Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia witnessed last week the launching of Performance Governance System (PGS) in Limay town through the effort of municipal officials led by Mayor Richie Jason David and Vice Mayor-elect Grace David.
Mayor David said the PGS will hasten the systematic delivery and implementation of local government programs all the way to the barangay level.
“The PGS will also help our local government to identify the problems besetting the remote areas and find the right solution to the problem,” David said in an interview. He said adopting the PGS will help the municipal government get to the bottom of the problems and challenges faced by implementors of the program.
Gov. Garcia who first adopted the PGS in previous years said a number of local government units have already adopted PGS and proved useful in the implementation of basic government programs considering the growing population and fast-paced economic development.
Present during the launching of PGS in Limay were ISA-CEO Evaristo Francisco, Jr.; Myrna Roman, PGS focal person of Balanga; Manny Ambrocio, PGS focal person of Limay and Councilors Dennis Gochuico and Bart Reyes.
